Default F1 pilots use cocaine

An ex-medic of Ferrari affirms to Quattroruote that coacine is highly used by pilots in F1. Though tests to champions of the F1 havent gotten a positive test.

At least one third of the actual pilots use the drug as an stimulant prior to races.
For around 90 minutes the effects of cocaine are reducing reaction times and giving the consumers the sensation of invincibility, but if races lasted more it could turn dangerous.

I dont believe it - the g forces and the other exertions that they endure would make them collapse afterwards if they took cocaine.

I am thinking that this is just some slow week in the F1 news dept and they are regurgitating anything to get headlines

Slow reactions is not something you want in a race lol Maybe Juan Pablo does not the rest.

Ever seen Schumaher on the podium, no way does he look like he's high on coke.

I say its 100% bullshit.

Err i don't mean to be rude, but in reducing reation times .... your reactions get quicker as the time is reduced [/quote]

I find that hard to believe....
If they're out to improve reactions, there're a lot of other chemicals (caffine, theobromine, etc) they can use w/out the addictive, egregious effects of cocaine. Seems stupid.

doesn't everyone that can afford it use it lol 8)

but you can't trust an ex-medic,
how does he know 90% of driver use it? medics work with one team, and the FIA medic has been working in F1 for years and still working so it wasn't him, and he is the only one that goes from team to team.

ok first of all you cant tell when a guy is on coke by just lookin at him, second it does not slow your reaction times down, and 3rd of all this could be true as drivers almost never ever get drug checked in F1.

^ I think it was Robin Williams who said something along the lines of, "Using cocaine is god's way of telling you that you have too much money."

well the US military gives it to there pilots, to keep them awake for long missions,
so i don't see why it woulden't happen in F1.

wow! mike is prob into that stuff hard core. the first thing u notice when your on it is you can speak faster than an auction announcer. im sure it would speed your reaction time up for maybe the first 1/4 of the race then it would wear you down. And no, i dont think there would be a coke dispencer in their helmets to keep them going. But if youve seen schumi fly straight through the chicane during a qualifying session(srryforgtthetrack) he definately had some invulnerability feelings errupting.
