605hp - 455ci - $115,000? - Pontiac GTO? YEAH BABEEEEE!!!
The $115,000 beating (thats the price of the 911TT you would need to buy to beat this beast - although you would still lose ) 605bhp Pontiac 455ci HO GTO... In the flesh..
The ultimate sleeper..
Yep - thats a new genreation 455HO engine..
Hmm.. that's a GTO...
Whoa.!!! That DOES read 7.5l...
And yes - That Z06 in the refrlection is shaking in it's good years....
http://www.motorsporttech.com/print/...rochure01.html
605 HORSEPOWER...610 FOOT POUNDS OF TORQUE...ALL GTO
As you pull up to the light, you notice the Porsche 911 Twin Turbo out of the corner of your eye. The driver gives you a slight nod, then turns his face away, secure in the knowledge that $115,000 has bought him one of the fastest, most powerful European sports cars on the planet - more than a match for any American car on the road today…
The light turns green and you rocket away from the light in a display of brute horsepower and tire shredding torque. First gear is a blur, second gear is gone even faster and by the time you reach the top of third, the 911 is a distant memory and fading faster and faster….
At the next light, the Porsche finally catches you, the driver's look of stunned surprise priceless. He rolls down his window and asks the age old question of the GTO's victims since 1969 “What do you have under the hood? I've never lost a race yet.” You smile and rev the throttle slightly, 600 horsepower ready to be unleashed again “It's a 455 and you never had a chance...”

I took the pics.. and the car is awesome - but fails the one test the CTS-V passes - the CTS-V has place for 5 adults and their luggage..

I hope all the poeple that mock this car are looking at this, everyone alsways hates the car until they hear the sound of it as it blows by them.

In a Porsche 911, you're going to have a very good time actually driving the thing, but everyone is going to hate you. They're going to give you dirty looks as you drive by, call you names at the lights, vandalise your paintwork in the night and never, ever let you out of a side turning. That's a given.
In the Vantage, everyone's going to want your babies.
