Thanks for the scan mate, what an awesome car!
Love the M mode and the redline!
Can't wait to see what top speed it will do de-restricted, guessing approx 300-310km/h.
Also do you know if BMW allow this to be done? (like AMG raising to 186miles an hour)
I think it would suck to hit the limiter as it would just be getting going at that speed!
Can't wait to see what the german tuners do to it either.

^ well here in Australia you would never have the chance to reach the limiter anyway, unless you live in the NT.

WOW that m5 is certainly something. 15 lengths on a e55, i love it.
I just don't think that mercedes is going to like having their ass handed to them by BMW now, so i think they are just going to throw a huge amount of power in the e-class, like some of its other cars, and try and beat the m5 in a straight line race. thats what i think will happen, thats just me i guess.
Besides that i would take an m5 over any other saloon any day!

Nice car! My heart still goes to the old one - superb looks, manual transmission. Hopefully the prices will fall further in the next year or so for the old one and I can maybe trade up my S4...
Gerhard Richter seems to be a cool guy. I like the comment "either he doesnt say anything or issues priceless pearls" leaving the PR guy scrambling.

Seems like a great car...but damn its getting heavy (1830kg), and the lack of a 3 pedal option is a major disappointment on an ///M car .

Thanks for the scan man
I sure hope it was one of the W211 E55 that the M5 beat...
@ sentra_dude: it weighs the same as the previous model, it´s not light but they say it feels much lighter than the E39.
Next week Autocar tests the M5 against the Maserati Quattroporte and Merc´s E55 AMG
507 bhp vrs. 476 bhp vrs. 400 bhp... some mighty cars
EDIT: Can someone please scan that copy next week???

Oh crap, it is similar weight...for some reason I thought the last gen M5 wasn't quite that porky (I thought it was closer to 3800lbs, not 4000lbs)! Well, either way, I hate how cars are going in the direction of more hp to compensate for weight, instead of less weight to make the car faster with the same hp.

This new M5 sounds to be getting better with every pic and review that I read. It even looks one hell of alot better than a regular 5-series.
