Very nice, colour suits the car IMO, the wingless looks good to me a bit more stealthy

than the huge wings on other scoobys and evo's Oh and i can't help but notice the little mini in the background of one of the pics

I got a damn ticket the first month I was here, 88 in a 60 on I-30. Luckily I had no US license at the time so I got no points. Cost me 200 bucks though.

on my block alone i think we have 2 older minis and one brand new one.

haha sorry to hear that TransAm. honestly, after a while, the CHP just beats you down so much that speeding isnt fun anymore.

I am looking for a used WRX that hasnt been beaten on. I agree, they dont look as sporty without the rear spoiler. The turbo lag i have read in magazines is aweful. If i can find one, there had better be a way to get less turbo lag. Not a big fan of lag.....

GO the Silver rexies! Silver looks very clean and with "bookshelf" wing and nice simple mags, gives your car that clean understated look

a large part of the lag is a result of the catalytic converter directly in front of the turbo. an uppipe deletes that cat and makes it a straight pipe. you get boost about 500-700rpm sooner.

lag is inevitable tho on a 2.0l turbo, but with some mods, it gets pretty minimal. just from a standstill punch, the car spools VERY quickly. i paid $550 for an uppipe/downpipe combo and got 25hp at the wheels! none of this crank stuff. boost came on quicker thanks to the uppipe, and i had more topend thanks to the downpipe.

wrx = best bang for your buck.

hmmmm, don't tempt me into modding my car

As for the lag issue, you get use to it and it isn't that big of a deal, you just have to drive in such a way to mimise it, when you don't want it.

The car has essentially two personalities,
lag range; I find good because the dull response is good for normal driving, very economical, comfortable and quiet.-Its a great car for long distances.

Turbo engauged, as we all know it goes bezerk

But you wouldn't want to drive like that all the time, just when you want o have fun

wrx = best bang for your buck.

Damn straight, I really don't see a car that I'd say is superior in the less than $150K range, except a STI perhaps

Good looking car man. I like how you're keeping it simple and clean. Not really feeling the "i" badge on the front or the rims though. I would have gone with the pink STI style Subaru badge and some Advan RGs (but those are really expensive lol). Good plan not going with a spoiler/ricer wing.
