Coolest Mod youve ever installed?
This part of the forum seemed dead so i thought i would see if i couldnt spice it up a bit
whats the coolest Mod or part youve ever installed, or the crappiest you personally have ever installed? was it easy, or did you lose 4 fingers trying to get it on?
here is my list!
the hardest :
H&R Springs & Bilstein on the audi S4, the dude/machine who torqued most of the bolts on the rear suspension was in overkill mode, i blew up two ratchets trying to do it (impact wrench died earlier)
Installing an engine in a celica alltrac....its a pain, no space
Installing bigger turbos on a mitsu VR4....impossible to get to.much blood loss
The Coolest:
Procharger HO supercharger kit on a mustang cobra with a built 306, the
kit was awesome, it went in easy, even with the FMIC, after all was done, 710 Hp or so
APR ECU on the S4, it was cool, made big power, and the mode switching was great
the last 3SGTE engine i built, a friend bought it, and its so awesome seeing my engine in his alltrac =) plus that and 430hp is always fun
there are more, but that should be enough to get it started

full Four wheel disc kit from Baer on a '68 Camaro in school was alot of fun and good learning experience.
The new Valvetrain I put on my car was a bitch to get just right since it's a zero tolerance cylinder engine, never spent soo much time making sure everything was just perfect.
The job I'm looking forward to is putting a new supercharged bullit proof engine in a friends Camaro as soon as he gets the engine.

I once had my dads Ford Mondeo Station car chiptuned, don''t know what make (something Japanese) but could you just imagine, waiting at the stoplights and then the engine of that Ford is growling and making revs, people looking and wondering where its coming from because they don't think its the Ford

normalest: I installed 3 extra cooling fans in my casing;
normalestest: I had to drill a hole that almost came out oval;
It now makes a bitchin' noize and has extra loads of dust. Woohoo me.

i meant cars, but ok computer can be cool to, so i guess that will work
the worst computer mod i ever done....hrmm that would have to be installing anything in the cases without rounded edges, so your hands come out looking like grated cheese, we had a run of rackmount servers like that, it sucked
the best computer mod i ever installed: a LCD display in the case, it was cool

p.s
As you'll see, I haven't modded anything yet - but plan too in the coming weeks...first thing is to take my car down to a dyno and discuss options & money.

Converted my bro's wrx into STI suspension spec which included springs, shocks, sway bars, and bushings
Cat back system, upgraded ECU and IC hoses
Estimated 280hp and sticks like glue and when it does go loose its still pretty controllable

On the Cobra it would have to be the Bassani X-pipe and then maybe the Steeda short shifter.
On my old '84 SVO it was probably the lower control arm replacements and the G-trac brace as well as poly bushings everywhere and the caster camber plates that dialed in the Koni's.

Props to foxfour for an awesome sig pic
Car= 03' WRX sedan
Coolest mods: Chip, full exhaust system(headers, up-pipe, turboback)
Easiest: Removing the resonator for the air intake
Newest: 17x8" Rota Torques/ Falken Azenis st-115 D1 Sports
Watching my car dyno after the mods was sweet. I didn't do all the work but was there helping. NExt is turbo and I/C - fuel, suspension etc.... It would all be easier if i could afford a 911turbo

Coolest would have to be putting in a K&N snorket kit under the hood. Thing looks badass. Another is the APR ECU chip. Worst would be the catback exhaust (APR). For some odd reason, it droops alot and dangles about 3 inches from the ground...so...that sucks. This was all on a S4
