INTRODUCING THE BMW ALPINA B7 - NEW CHALLENGER FOR THE TITLE OF WORLD’S FASTEST PRODUCTION SALOON CAR

The Goodwood Festival of Speed provides the backdrop for the UK launch of ALPINA’s mighty B7 saloon.

Based on the BMW 7 series, the two-ton saloon will transport five passengers in luxury and space at up to 186 mph.

In the hands of ALPINA engineers working in conjunction with their BMW counterparts, the already class-leading 4.4 litre V8 power plant now yields an extraordinary 500 bhp, achieving 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds.

The new ALPINA patented Nautilus-type compressor enabling this tremendous gain also boosts fuel efficiency (22.1 mpg) and lowers emissions.

With 700 Nm of torque available from 3000 rpm to 6000 rpm, the effect on performance is staggering - a seamless, near linear build-up to maximum speed.

FORMULA 1 STYLE RACING TRANSMISSION

The new B7 offers 6-speed fully automatic transmission, transforming to shift-on-the-wheel F1 style gear changing, the instant a driver feels the urge to explore sporting capabilities completely belying the 2000kg kerb weight and vast interior dimensions of the car.

BESPOKE LUXURY

Like all ALPINA’s the new B7 affords virtually unlimited opportunities for individual specification, augmenting the long list of BMW state of the art "standard" amenities, with exclusive ALPINA designed leather interiors.

It was in Geneva or even maybe at Stuttgart last year, i like the idea of a sporty 7 series but i don't like the rear spoiler on the trunk as i don't like that of the Z4 Alpina ...
They often spoil the line, not very good taste in design i think, only the wheels are fine.

But indeed, even its a Bangle production, the rims look so good on that.

The B7 has an extra 50-60Bhp....it means this extra power is good for nothing....

Both are amazing from inside....but the Alipina looks more aggressive....the Individual is

too conservative....

humm very good car for a luxury task and also for performance enthusiastics. 500hp not bad for a dragstrip or hot lap at a circuit .
