how to make windows media my default dvd player?

my brother must've fucked with something and now whenever i try to play a dvd on my comp it automatically opens with real player and freezes my computer without playing. i can't figure out how to get the dvd to open with windows media player. please help

right click, open with, choose program, choose Windows media player, check the always use this program for this type of file.

Otherwise, fire up windows media player, click the tools tab, click options, then click the file types tab, make sure the DVD video box is checked

I don't know how to change the file settings on Real Player.

You could also turn the Auto Play thing off. Then whenever you put a disc in, you'll have to start it up manually. Meaning it'll stop it from loading up in Real player right away.
