Default Rotary Valve engine

I think they plan to execute this in cars soon and I have another topic in the F1 section: http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9069

I remember first hearing about this a while ago. Maybe 4 years? I don't think it will ever get to be mainstrem in cars. I would be kind of suprised to see it in any car coming out of the factory to be honest. Engines and cars are heading (or trying to be steered towards) in the electric/alternative fuel direction. Of course it will be a long time until that goes anywhere significant, but I just don't see manufacturers introducing these valves in the meantime.

Although I wish they would. I read somewhere that a they equipped these rotary valves on an American made 5.0 liter V8, and with a built bottom end, acheived an astronomical 952 horsepower at 14k rpm (not sure about the rpm, but it was well over 10k).
