Interesting place to put a turbo...i wonder how much dust can go inside of it on a race with some wind...

I would pay to see some bird flying a bit low be sucked in there...
(I have no issues with birds of course...)

its a perfect place, theres already a hole in the front end, they just had to widen it a bit.

That car is owned by True Blue Performance, a Mustang shop several hours from where I live. You should see the intercooler that resides where the passenger seat in a production car would be, it's about the size of a wall mounted air conditioner.

Yea the intercooler in drag cars like this is very crucial. Someone at the last event that I went to told me that the air coming out of the turbo is around 270 degrees farenheit. And then when it comes out of the intercooler in the cab, it is about 70 degrees farenheit. He also said that they use ice to keep it cool. About one run melts 6 bags of ice. Now that is some major boost.

Here is the car that the guy that I talked to owned.




He said it was running 1900 hp at 27 psi.

and what impresses me more is that they build the motor in minutes!!, and they dont mess up(most of the time)
