I have one on my back and will be getting another one shortly on my arm. I know that many people use the arguement that "I don't know if I want something that perminant on my body" But really, who gives a shit. Mine's on my back and I honestly forget that it's even there. The catch is that they're adicting, once you get one, you're going to want more. Just make sure that whatever you get is original and has some meaning to you. Don't get any of that dumb tribal crap or Japanese characters. Design your own and make sure that it's different from everyone elses. But yes, tattoos are a great way of self expession and art work. Go For It!!

I also think tattoos are stupid, but I don'd mind if someone else does it. I persoally wouldn't want one on my body. If you like it, go ahead! You should know what you want, and not ask other people to tell you what to like.

just like u at your age, i wanted a tatoo. Was going to be a Cherry, a comic book character. Now I simply don't like'em too much
of course you have to think the bad and good things of getting one, such as ppl yelling at you for the tatoo (you look like a jail inmate, a thief, whatever parents almost always say).
Maybe in your country you'll don't have any trouble for the tatoo, but in mine sometimes the HR ppl ask if you have tatoos, and that kinda places tatoos aren't welcome
coloradosilver is absolutely correct, besides it's your body not anyone's else.
just think it, and if you can get a non-permanent tatoo (here is called Henna tatoo), and see if you like it. The bad thing is that only one color is available.

HR: human resources, the guys that are responsible for your hiring in aby job at a mid or big company.
the best places are those were the tatoo can't be seen by most ppl, except your girlfriend or anyone like that.
even when you tattoo a nice and pink colored dolphin, ppl won't look you with good eyes, but give'em the finger.
as you say, think it a lot. 3 old schoolmates have regreted the tattoos they have. They got their tattos at 15, 18 and 20
luck

I don't like it very much.
I have the same opinion that most of the people that posted here have.
