For sure! you cant beat the flip up headlights! you just cant
I heard rumours the Trueno/celica is going to be remade, I dont know if its true or not, but I heard it will be FF, which is pointless since I think the FR layout is what made this car.

Rumors have been rumbling since I was driving AE86s. It's always been come and go, I would not be surprise that the Celica will come back some time in the future, as with Honda's Prelude. But I do not see the Toyota making a small FR car again.
Who knows, we could always dream .

I thought the Altezza (Lexus IS) was supposed to be the "new AE86" with its RWD and balanced chassis..
but all of us Initial D fans know that will not do..
If they did come out with a new cheap light weight FR car, kids would probably just smash them up like crazy..

Exactly, they are smashing FF's right now, could you imagine what would happen if you give them FR  .
Haha. . .
The IS300 is a good car in its own respect, but it is a luxury mobile after all. Remember, the original Corolla was just that, a cheap fun car to drive. The IS isn't that fun to drive and it definitely isn't cheap. Again, not a bad car, but it is no replacement for the AE86.
