I liked it. I dled the original with subtitles. Great fight scenes and a pretty good story. I wont say much else, I dont want to give up any spoilers, but if you like Jet Li and martial art movies, this one is pretty good.

Just like Novass, I also saw it before(I saw it about four-ish months ago). And just like Novass, I agree that the movie has some pretty good fight scenes and is deffinitly worth watching.

Jet Li is a terrible actor to the point where you wonder why people pay him to attempt acting. His movies are usually only good for fight scenes, which are always excellent. I'd like to see this movie, if only for the fights.

^Hero had real actors in it. That made it slightly better.

The copy I found had some pretty funny subtitles though, not sure who translated it, but some scenes definitely took some creative interpretation LOL Pretty sure it wasnt a professional translation.
I wish they could lessen the gap that these movies are released in various parts of the world. I get too damn confused sometimes. When Hero came out in the theatres here, I could have sworn I had seen it somewhere without downloading a pirated copy or anything like that. Turns out I saw it in a foreign cinema class about a year or so before it came out here but it took me a while to realize the movie I thought I had seen and the movie not yet released was, in fact, the same movie. Although to my discredit, I do believe it was mentioned in the trailers as being, "a foreign hit now brought here" or some crap like that. ops:

A difference in language is pretty big if you don't understand it.

when you say original, you mean the asian version, where the only difference is language and maybe a few nude scenes with a lady friend??
|
Ya I meant the Asian version when I said original.
