Very great pix from the mighty Shelby GT500, thanks NTH for them. :good:

I very love the new Mustang Shelby, but it will be 100% better without any stripes on it. I hope Ford will sell a similar version without stripes. But I have to admit those dark grey stripes are less ugly than white stripes on the red GT500.

The wheels are definitively not suitable on this Mustang, I want to see 19'' or 20'' multi spoke wheels with fat lip on it and rear wheels bigger than the front.

But one thing is sure I will want to test it when my nearest SVT dealer will have it.

^^ ford said no to larger wheels cuz of the unsprung weight which to me sounds like they're being cheap haha..

i'm not thrilled with the retro stang, but the numbers suggest its pretty kickass for a sports car with a back seat

A classic explanation from Ford Motor Co.

Those Ford engineers have already copied the wheels of the Corvette C5 Z06 for the wheels of this Shelby GT500 (like RC45 has underlined very well). They should have push their way to also copied the Z06 dimension like....... 265/40ZR17 (Front) and 295/35ZR18 (Rear).

Nice work mate, very aggressive looking car!

I also have a suction mount but use it for in-car video, too scared to hang my camera off it on the outside of the car.

Not sure what risk is involved in taking static shots, I've never experienced any....

I'll tell that to the Ferrari owner I'm meeting on Saturday morning for a photoshoot, and see if he's fine with taking that "risk" for some motion shots.

Waterfront locations, low tide beach locaitons, live trackside locaitons - hell even a Landy in the wild can have dangers associated

Why not ask him - I think you may pleasently surprised by the response... although a low speed motion shot with a decent hardware mounted camera has as much chance of causing damage as getting in the car and ripping a seat.. *shrug*

as long as it isn't mounted on areas that have differing surface areas, you are fine

i had no "coming loose" issues whatsoever.... be it for in car use, or out-of-car use.

was it a risk?

yes, but that is what insurance is for
