Default Esquire's "Ten Most Awseme Autos" under $50 K

Not every car is created equal, and neither is every “best cars” list. However, this one from Esquire magazine seems quite reasonable. Vehicles under $50,000:

Lotus Elise ($42,990)
Chevrolet Corvette ($44,490)
Mazda 6 ($19,670)
Infiniti G35 coupe ($33,200)
Ford F-150 ($19,640 to $37,005)
Audi A3 3.2 DSG ($34,700)
Subaru Legacy GT ($28,795)
BMW 3-Series ($30,900 to $44,900)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution ($29,149)
Chrysler 300C SRT8 ($42,695)
I don't get how the Audi A3 got on that list..

well it takes time to convince people that there are better things out there than BMW, more and more people discover it.....the future looks good...

but to fair, with the design way BMW have gone they help selling them Audi`s...
No need to convince me, I'm already sold! If I had the money, I'd plop some down for an Audi in a heart beat. RS6 in black please.
I'd be plenty happy if I could find a Sport Quattro at a decent price or shape. They are either beat to hell or obscenely expensive around my parts. I'd love to have the type 89 that was based on the Audi 90.
Then all I'd need is to steal an engine from an Audi 200. 20V Turbo's kickass.

that's what I was thinking
Mazda 6's are supposed to be damn good cars for the money
F150, they sell them faster than they can build them
A3, it's nice, I'd rock one
Legacy, rock solid car, good buy
300C, just look at it

Just because it's alist of "awesome" cars, doesn't mean they are the top performing cars for the money. It could also mean awesome value, awesome reliability etc..

I like BMWs and I love the A3. In fact I think it is the best looking car in their line up, the second best is all the way at the other end of the spectrum, A8.
