Default cutting avi files

http://www.motorworld.net/forum/show...er=asc&start=0

im trying to cut some footage of WR on pikes peak for there... ive been trying to use 'showbiz' but it doesnt seem to want to make the file larger then 1 second worth... and seems too large anyway...

what cutting programs are out there i can use... since obvoiusly 600 mb/20 minutes is much more then i want to up, when about 30mb/1 minute is the quality im looking for

i could shoot for 20 mb, or even less.. im not sure how to directly rip from the VOB select portions...

thanks for the help

Edit:
well, for now, my noob skills are sinking to using 'windows movie maker'
the quality is much lower... but it works, and its a low file size... so until i get a higher quality version up...

anyway... its here
