i think you're on crack. IMO Oasis was a one hit blunder.
This type of thread is only going to incite flaming and never ending arguments as there are way to many bands, way to many styles and way to many tastes to purely detirmine a solid "Greatest Band". HOWEVER, that being said, lets break out the hot dogs and marshmallows cuz it's about to get hot :dons fireproof suit and sparks the acetlyne torch:
i think Led Zeppelin has got to be the greatest. No one can rival them.

wow my personal favourite is the red hot chili peppers, followed by guns n roses...for the GOAT in terms of technical ability and trying out all sorts of new stuff and just beign an amazing band that changed the whole music scene... i think ledzep or queen

lol there are tonnes of bands I would put ahead of Oasis
LED ZEPPELIN - the single greatest band ever . period .
Hendrix is the single greatest artist, he could play with anyone and it would sound amazing.

THE STONE ROSES
Oasis are great. I've seen them 7 times. I sort of know Liam through music connections. They're a fantastic band and one of the reasons i even started making music in the first place....but even Noel told me that Oasis would have NEVER existed if it wasn't for The Stone Roses. they were just mindblowing.
