# About this circuit
# Monaco is probably the most famous Grand Prix of all. A tight, demanding street circuit at which overtaking is almost impossible, meaning pole position can be decisive. The circuit is very hard on the drivers, with a typical lap requiring 36 gear changes - a total of over 2800 per race! It is not so hard on the engine of the car, as it is rarely operating on full power.

The roads have very little grip to begin with, so in wet weather, the sight of cars sliding into the barriers is very common. Teams raise the driving height of their cars, and opt for high downforce on this circuit.

i think that the renaults have the best chances to win. their traction control is the best in the formel 1 and with alonso or fisico their have very good drivers. with the very small corners the track is ideal for renault power . so i think that it will be very complicated especially for ferrari to beat the others. but lets see what the options are

I think the performance of the Mclarens and the Renautls will be more or less equal. But I'm betting on Kimi winning it bar any mechinical mishaps.

Ferrari nor Toyota or Williams will do too well. Fisi will beat alonso. That's my 2 cents worth anyway.

but last year Jarno Trulli won the race. so i think that he is also a candidate for the victory. and in the last two races toyota had a good and fast pace.

Last year Renault had a very rear biased weight distribution, this helped them to accelerate at low speeds. I dont know if they have changed their weight distribution for this year, but I would take a punt that they have.

As Gascoyne is now technical director at Toyota it wouldnt surprise me one iota if they were running a rear biased weight distribution. If this is the case then I would expect Trulli to be very competitive around the streets.

On the other hand Webber has traditionally been fast at Monaco, I expect him to overqualify the car once again. Providing he gets a decent start I think a podium is on the cards for him.

However overall the status quo shouldnt be all that different to previous races, Raikkonnen and Alonso fighting for the win, potentially with a couple of wildcards thrown in to make things interesting, I cant wait.

Either Mclaren or Renautls team will win this.. But I will be with Renautl if I had to choose. Good luck to all the team though.. This is the best year in F1 in a while..

this is alonso's race to loose, so if everything goes well, he will be on top of the podium, and perhaps will be joined by fisichella, at either two or three, while coulthard, raikkonen and schumi are wild cards here, especially kimi and schumi, because if their cars hold up all race long, they are more than capable of getting to the podium here, although not at P1, schumi is due for a big win, but not this time, not yet, even if his tyres stay intact ... we shall see

normally the usual racers don't set those fast times. It's a wonder why Alonso felt the need to do so. Usually on Friday/Thursday it's always the 3rd drivers doing the timesheet toping.

I'm thinking kimi's going to take 1st this weekend. I wouldn't rule out Montoya (for once) this race as he's looked fairly fast.

thats right but monaco isn´t a easy track. not all drivers have the qualification to do a good job. but jarno won last year and i want to say that he knows how to go very fast on this track

ferrari have problems with their cars. michael has some vibrations and the team don't know from where they comes.
However this will be a very interesting race this weekend

Wow there seems to be a fair share of crashes, Ferrri are down on the grid again, I wonder if those Bridgestones are hurting them? Who knows but they dont seem to be adapting like the rest of the teams. I am looking forward to seeing this one, I love Monaco!
