...some Porsche ppl from the EZW were present when Piech and Pischetsrieder met to a secret test drive with the 16.4 at VW test track Ehra-Lessien, the german equivalent to Nardo, Pischetsrieder managed 380kmh, Piech was a bit faster but couldn´t manage 390 - main limiting factor now isn´t aerodynamics any more, but fuel pumps for the 1100 horses...
0-100 with the reworked tranny from Ricardo should be 3sec flat, of course with the longer first gear...

that project will be interesting to watch...

They've sorted out the cooling then?

No doubt it'll be fast but i wonder how well it will really handle with lots of weight with the 4wd and big engine.... guess we'll find out sometime

funny how its got nearly twice the HP of the F1 and might only just break its top speed record if at all

I read too that they had problems with fuel pumps. Whatever people can say, i find this project interesting and hope to see the result soon

I don't especially like the car and I don't think it will be a "good handling" car either. I do however have a huge respect for the engineers and people who are working on the project who constantly are trying to solve the problems involved with making a 1000+ Bhp, 4WD Bugatti come to life.

i like the looks, hate the price. im sure since they can only make 50 per yr they wont have a hard time finding buyers...but i hope its reliable. i dont want it to take the road car top speed record from the mclaren tho...leave that one up to the koenigsegg CCR!

So much has been said about this car that even though it´s not my type of car, I´m really corious to see how good it really is. The pulling power must be super incredible but I´m not so sure about the handling.

I'm surprised that fuel pumps are the limiting factor. There are people in the RX7 community making more than 1000rwhp with 3 and 4 rotors using off the shelf fuel pumps (granted typically with multiple pumps). St-anger, do you have any details?
