nope...I'd pay Lamborghini Murcielago prices for that...and that's probably why they're not going to make it...it would compete too closely with the Murci.

I think that the VW employers will be wary after the phaeton faillure...although Ferdinand Piech was clear stating that VW whould have at least one VW model in every car segment(such as the supercars, the luxurious class, the SUV....) despite the challenge against VAG group brands(and risks naturally) such as Audi(the luxurious car segment), Lamborghini and Bugatti (the supercars).....VW went ahead with its Touareg, and the Phaeton.....although the Phaetons sales are going in a good direction, the Phaeton has been a complete failure and loss of a lot of profit..(even Mr Piech has stated publicly his mistake)..thats why i told at the beginning that the VW employers musnt be as straight as already with the launch of the Nardo on the market

Who in their right mind thought the Phaeton would work? It just looks like a bigger passat. There was absolutely nothing to set it apart from their entry cars.

yea basically thats whats wrong with it,. it seemed top be a nice car, up to par with the 7 series and the S class, and all the other full size luxo cars and clarkson seemed to like it a lot.

however to really make it, the phaeton would have had to be extra special, be a lot better than any of its competitors, and from what i have seen it isnt.

On the contrary, the Tuareg, aso criticised for being expensive, is very successful.
I think Phaeton looks really nice and i'm sure it goes well. If I had enough money and VW fixes Phaeton's unreliability, I'd buy one for sure. In fact, I would prefer it to the 7 and S.

By the way, W12 came out first and Veyron came later, so racingfreak, W12 would be the first attempt.

Once again, if I had enough money and VW makes it, I'd buy W12. Not only is the Italdesign-Giugiaro penned sheatmetal beautiful, the interior and Engine are stunning.

The car was going to be priced around that of a Porsche GT2 or 360 Modena, and have performance of that of an Enzo. I wouldnt have a problem paying that kind of money for a Volkswagen. It would have better build quality than most supercars out there and it looks absolutely gorgeous (opinion).

It has averaged 322.89km/h, more than any other modern car. It proved its speed, I certainly havent seen anything else do something similar.

The only thing coming merely close was the Lamborghini Murcielago averaging 320.023 km/h over 100 miles at Nardo, not 24hrs, or going back a long way the Porsche 928 S averaging 251.4 km/h over 24 hours

Let's put it this way...I think the VW W12 would've been the only true head-to-head competitor for the Ford GT.
