it might look cool, but you can't really call it martial arts ( i think this particular "style" is known as wushu and i saw some capoeira in there) since those moves are all virtually useless in a fight. tell me how effective can all those jumps and cartwheels be against a guy who wants to break your neck? put it this way, if i'm up against a guy who can do all that, while he's doing his fancy jumps, i'm devising a clever way to grab his arm and snap it in two places. really as you can see there's no self defense tactics involved with any of those "skills", unless of course you're fighting a grasshopper.

I remember these guys about 7 years ago but never heared them again.
This was also the best song they had.

I still think that they can kick a butt real good if they need/want to.
Its just like with cars - guys who can do drifts and other nice staff with cars are pretty good in critical situations, cause they know how the car handles, cause they tryed it many many times. On the other hand professional drivers may have less idea how to handle it right... hm...

and actually you're very VERY wrong about that. it's been proven a million times over that these outlandish fighting styles are VERY ineffective in a REAL fight, where the job is to beat the shit out of the other guy, because those jumps and cartwheels have absolutely no offensive/defensive nature to them, it's just jumping. and as per your analogy about drifters in real situations, a driver may know what techniques are useful in certain situations, but KNOWING and APPLYING are two different things. with that said, it's never safe to assume that just cuz some guys can jump high and do flashy things in the air that they can defend themselves in a fight.
