Sorry, the acceleration runs were 600 m, 900 m and 1200 m
Now look at these numbers:
It took 9.4 s @ 294 km/h for the F2003-GA to go 600 m (1970 ft.)... that means that the F2003 will do the 1/4 mile in about 5.x sec.... ON A WET TRACK!!!! It beat the jet by 0.2 s.
On the 900 m, the Ferrari made it in 13.2 s @ 305 km/h (it lost to the eurofighter by 0.2 s... but remember, it was WET!)
On the 1200 m, it came in 16.7 s @ 308 km/h, but on the other hand, the jet made it in 14.2 s (!!!).

it only gained 3km/h in a space of 300m? they must be running high downforce config.

But we also have to consider that 300 meters at 300 km/h go by in just 3 or 4 seconds or something like that

Pretty impressive video to watch anyway. They put an olympic 100-meter sprinter against a CART racecar in my city 2-3 years ago. The car won hands down and the race team knew it before the car because their car was already faster on 100 meters than the 100m world record... but it was still fun to watch.... too bad I did not shoot (camera) it.

F1 doesn't run on slicks like IRL but the f1 would win in a staight line and on a track, IRL-700hp CART-676 F1-900+ and F1 is lighter then all of then, the only thing holding them back is the tires,
