What is the greatest car chase seen EVER filmed?
My vote goes to "Ronin" for the epic chase sequences. Also for the great choice of Audi, BMW, etc used!!!

Ronin
The Transporter
Gone in 60 Seconds
The Blues Brothers
Bullitt
The Dukes of Hazzard
The Bourne Identity
The Bourne Supremacy
The Matrix: Reloaded
Mr & Mrs Smith
The Island
I especially like chases with no music like Ronin, Bullitt, and The Blues Brothers

Gotta give props to the BMW Films as well.
My favorites:
Star
Ticker
Ambush
Yeah, I like the Matrix 2 Chase, that was pretty cool w/ the bikes.

I remember recording the chase sequence from the Rock in VHS. I watched and rewinded it over and over, i loved it!
But maybe my favorite is the one from Ronin 8)

Excellent choices so far!
The chase in The French Connection in the streets of Chicago is quite exciting
The Herbie movies all have funny chases with the same formula - the baddies nobble Herbie who falls back and overtakes everyone to win.
