Default Why TF Did They Take Top Gear Off Last Night ??

They said at the end of last weeks show it was due to the World Cup.

GUESS WHAT :

There was no World Cup coverage in its slot or related shows for that matter (the one on at 10 pm is always on every week after TG finishes).

There was just some POS show on at 8 PM that no one probably gave a fuck about.

Things are not looking good for TG IMO, it was a shorter season last year, and they are already fucking about with this season, wasn't there something in the news about them not being able to make any more episodes until they get planning approval for their test track or something ?? Maybe that is the real reason why its been taken off the air.

The same thing annoyed me while looking over the tv-magazine. But I guess we're not gonna know the truth.

Argh, I wish I could get BCC on my TV
Even though they didn't broadcasted TG last night, which was a bit wierd, I would love to have it...

Sad to have it off the air for the next few weeks, but i've got exams, so its a distraction i could do without.

I see what you mean about there being no games being played at TGs specific time, and maybe this signifies that TG isn't BBC2s top priority. I hope this isn't the case, as i thought TG was gaining popularity - indeed, the whole family makes a point of sitting down to watch this on a Sunday evening.

I hope this isn't a symptom of a deeper problem with schedules/TG response

Not cool!

I'm sure BBC/TG/Jeremy is dealing with bullshit political issues with the show.. Damn shame..

Hopefully everything works out and they don't screw over JabbasWorld!

In one of clarksons articles a while ago before the season started he foretold that the next season would be 'split' by the world cup, it is really really annoying that it has been taken off and not replaced with anything even slightly world cup related.

Clarkson finished his article saying that the real car enthusiasts out there sadly are not valued by TV schedulers (or something similar) and that was the reason for the break.

I don't think the BBC reaslises the popularity of that programme yet, thankfully (in some ways, I curse them in others) people who are vaguely interested in cars watch that programme as well as the enthusiasts (I hate that word).

Maybe we should all post some feedback about it, best to keep it friendly.

I dont think that topgear is in trouble, I think it is going as strong as ever. They would not have upped the budget if it was dropping its rating. Its just typical that football comes first in England I guess... well 4 weeks left till top gear

How irritating is that ? I understand they would take it off the air for a few weeks to make way for the World Cup events, but since nothing is aired I can only conclude one thing. This was all an excuse just to have time to film new material. Look at the trailer at the beginning of programme 1....basically everything that was in it was covered in the firt 5 shows.

What time and what channel is Top Gear aired on in the UK ??
