LOL that would have been a great episode.. it is almost identical to the Gallardo, even someone vaguely familiar with the car would spot it! this would be a great episode to see!

Lol, yeah saw this episode last night, very funny
I think that the "Lamborgotti" is better cause it's got a sunroof and it's a four seater.

The engine actually sounded pretty good, I wonder how much
It is so funny that when the car reaches the end of the production line, there are wheels lying around LOL.

"Hot on the heels of Lamborghini appearance in the feature films "Batman Begins" and "Transporter 2" comes an 'almost' staring role in the latest episode of TV's "the Simpsons." Now in it's 17th season, episode #1709 titled "Italian Bob" finds Homer J. Simpson receiving a most special assignment from his boss, Mr. Burns, that of collecting from the factory in Italy, one "Lamborgotti Fasterossa." Much to the unexpected delight of many Lamborghini fans this new car proved to be none other than Lamborghini's newest and most successful Gallardo. In spite of the name change, badge change (now a charging horse!) and addition of what we think must have been +3 seating for Bart, Lisa and Maggie, nobody was fooled into thinking this car was anything else. One simple look at the brochure in Mr. Burn's hands revealed the all too familiar profiles and those wonderful, 5 holed wheels.
The Lamborgotti factory itself bore a striking resemblance to the recently remodeled premises in Sant' Agata. The sign out front might have been funnier, though, if it perhaps read, "for 2 dimensional charaters."
In this episode Homer and family travel to Italy, tour the production line and take delivery of the "Fasterossa" soon after which an incident involving a large wheel of Mortadella dropped from a truck renders the car undriveable. People in the nearest town provide some assistance with repairs while an encounter with the town's Italian Bob, a.k.a. Sideshow Bob, leads the Simpsons on yet another adventure.
Sam Simon, co-writer on the show is assumed to have had a hand in influencing the choice of car since he himself is a Gallardo owner.
We applaud those at the factory who gave permission for this opportunity to be parodied in this manner. All in good fun, we hope that Herr Winkleman too was happy with his characterization, though not as obvious a likeness as that of the car itself.
Watch for this one in reruns and the DVD which, I expect, might take a few years to hit stores."
