The game does not follow restriction rules...
Take for example the Professional Supercar series.
The rules state "produciotn cars only" - and if you try run the race with a Tomy ZZII or a VW Nardo or a Honda HSC or a Cien, it won't allow you to enter.
However, as soon as you enter you are up against - you guessed it, the Cien, W12, Tomy ZZII etc.
No matter because I beat em all with a Zonda but still, rules should apply to the AI drivers as well.

I noticed this too
It seems that the Ford GT '02 or '05 cannot enter either... it's a bit stupid, because entering with the Zonda only gives you a few A-Spec points, and i am yet to find another car to use that is competitive, but still gets a lot of A-spec points

Same here. At first I didn't notice this little rule exception, and I spend all the money beefing up the Cien and end up not being able to enter the race LOL!

wow wasnt expecting this to happen after SOOO many delays this game had. No wonder gamespot.com gave it a 8.5 or something. Lower than what they gave it for GT3.

I beefed up my Speed 12 so that in only started to find useful traction in fourth gear! Bad for the tires, but it was fast as hell and got the job done in the series.

yeah...i also found some races that seems weird, at first they said that only unmodified cars can entered. Then I take my standard skyline, but still I can't compete on the race, but instead my tunned Nismo skyline can participate? WTF?

for some reason it did not consider it a hot hatch, and of course when i entered the race with my 120i, I was up against the M-coupe..

Remember, it's based on a convertible chassis

Then the AI shouldn't be allowed to use it either..

Should we compile a list of complaints with the game and send it to them, demanding a free fix for it?

In other words, this game is ass on so many different accounts it's unbelievable. This game should be so much better than it is.
