From what I've heard it's the piston that hits him in the chest..

WHAT exactly happened.. The driver seems to be ok because you can see how he jumps away from bike standing strongly on his leg(s)...how is it possible piston gets off in the first place.. and it seems to hit his hand instead of chest..

Watch it again, it hits him on the hand. I doubt it is a piston, if a piston did come out the top it would go more forward because of the way the engine is angled.

Propably hurts like hell anyway! Well things like this happens every now and then. My uncle drove pretty fast on the Autobahn with a rental fiat sometimes in the eighties and pushed pretty hard. After a couple of hours a piston went right up in the hood.

This video has been getting talked about a good deal in the motorcycle forums. It was a part of the bike that flew off and not his hand. You can also take it into any video editing software (which I did) and see that his hands areboth there when he jumps off the bike.

The guy also still races (with both his hands I might add) after this incident as well.
