This is why you don't let these guys tow your car out of the snow. I've towed many a car out of a snowbank with my pick-up without any issue. It looks like when they backed up the first or second time, the hook came off of the frame or whatever it was originally attached to, and found something else to grab onto. This is why when using a rope or chain with a hook, you loop the chain around the frame or whatever is convenient and attach the hook to the chain. This way it doesn't come loose, and the hook can't get stuck to the frame.

It doesn't even look like they had to tow the car in the first place. Why couldn't they just pull forward in the car and drive onto the part of the driveway without snow? Seems like a big waste that wasn't really necessary.

This video is quickly making its way around the internet for sure. It was linked on one of my sites that is no wheres close to being car related.

Its idiotic people like this that give america a bad name. Really they where total idiots. First if they had pushed the car forward they could have been free. Second the only way they got in that spot in the first place is someones inability to backup in a stright line. Third if your pulling someone out you dont do it at such an angle that you end up pulling them thru even more snow. Fourth you dont jerk the car by having the tow line slack and then jerk it. Fith you secure the tow line to a tow hold or wrap it around the frame where its exposed.

lmao. that thing was so funny! It has to be a new record for most links posted for 1 vid on this forum. But I wasnt expecting that! I thought maybe he'd have it attatched to his rear-axle and it would rip the axle off (like in American Graffiti when they did it to the cop car), but it was hilarious how not only his bumper, but entire rear-end of the car got ripped off.
