The Best Way For all of us to Deal With RC45
Hello all,
I just read RC45's post where he did his crybaby act about how you guys are so unpleasant towards us Americans. I usually just ignore him but I found this particular post to be so utterly childish and massively hypocritical that I just got fed up with him.
http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=23515
I am an American. I love this forum. I love the international flavor of this forum. The love of cars, babes, technology, etc links all of us here from around the world together due to our mutual interests. Forums like this prevent ignorance, which I firmly believe is the single major contributor to hatred, indifference, intolerance, etc....... In essence, Jabbas offers a community for people from different cultures and places to interact and community with eachother.
RC45 cant seem to handle this fact. He lashes out at everyone around him, including his "fellow" Americans and then developes a massive persecution complex. He feels everyone is out to get Americans who he of course champions. He views himself as the defender of Americans on this forum. What he doesnt realize is that people on this forum like Americans. It is only HIM that they don't like. He also cant seem to understand that many of the people who find him annoying ARE AMERICANS. Finally, he cant seem to understand that, despite his best efforst to defend the Americans whom he so mistakenly views as under attack by the rest of planet earth, he only ends up hurting his cause by making Americans look bad.
So, how do we deal with such a member of this forum??
I propose we all sign a pledge right here on this page. I want you all to post the following message ( just copy and paste) and then swear to adhere to it strictly:
I, ___________ do hereby solemnly swear that for the foreseable future I will refuse to respond or otherwise be sucked into another one of RC45's flame wars. No matter how offensive to me personally, my country, my people, my faith, my military or any other aspect of my identity in general I will NOT respond in any way to RC45's post. In fact, you will no longer find my name attached to ANY thread STARTED by RC45, regardless of its nature, because I refuse to even read them. It is my firm beleif as a member of this, the single best car themed forum on the internet, that here should be a place where people from all walks of life can come together happily and peacefully in mutual love of all things automotive, etc... In fact, that seems to be the very purpose of the founding father, Jabba Himself. This boycott, therefore, is intended as a protest against those who seem determined to destroy that purpose and it is intended to send a message that certain members, including myself, will take certain actions within our rights as members, to try and maintain the quality and spirit of Jabbas World.

Ask yourself this: what's more pathetic, RC screwing with people on an internet forum, or you taking the time to write out your post and oath?
My vote is for the latter
People are opinionated, if you don't like it just ignore them, no need to spend so much thought on it. Take everything someone says on a forum with a grain of salt, all you see is letters and punctuation, no voice inflection or eye contact which are so important in real conversation. For all you know RC is just being funny pushing people's buttons, but really only RC knows....

You are absolutely right. RC45 is a moron and a bully and I will particpate in your little boycott of the jabbas world village idiot.

Which bit appealed to you the most? I would like to know, that way I can save typing and simply cut and paste the response.
p.s. Isn't it a bit of an irony, that in order to get support for ignoring my posts, you need to point people to first read them
Hmm - this is interesting.
First off, to have an actual organized "We hate RC" club is somewhat interesting and alarming at the same time.
Second, in an effort "to be cool" aand recruite support for his cause this silly chap might be violating forum rules - and if he's not, we cna just pass some new ones - like the libs and dems do all the time.
Here - gimme a paper copy of that pledge - I feel a bowel movement coming one

hehe, you should be able to sense the intended humor here just by the language used in the "oath" Although, you should also sense that this isnt coming from nowhere either LOL.

EXACTLY racer F50!!! This isnt a "we hate RC$%" member sign up. This is merely a post where people can say "I choose to ignore RC45 from now on". Im not suggesting any "action" other then simply ignoring him. No harm in that right.
Besides, just read the post. It is intended as a bit of a farce as anyone with half a brain can tell. Also, though it is a bit of a joke, there is only some serious concern involved regarding RC45 always attacking people.....
I think I was able to convey those two things well enough
So, sign on and make a pledge. Its more a pledge to yourself. Its about keeping yourself from getting involved in RC45's crap. I find myself sucked into it alot and I just got sick of it. Its just not worth it with the level its gone down to at the moment so I decided to make a little pledge. Kinda like "I wont drink for a year" or something........that sort of thing.

You know - I did leave about 2 years ago - but the freaking "Please come back so I can hate you in public again" emails almost crashed Hotmail - so I relented and came back.

Well. I just finished a 3 day motorcyle proficiency course including 8 hours of riding today so please forgive any spelling errors. I passed with a 95% on the riding course and a 94% on the written test by the way!
Im headed to the DMV in a few days to get my license. Then off to find a 250cc beginner bike to ride (and drop) for six months before I move up to a CBR 600 and, finally, to a liter bike in about a year depending on my proficiency level at that point.
Anyway, exciting times.....but Im DEAD tired. Funny enough, Im also wired from graduating the course with the highest marks in the class!!! Cant sleep. hehe.

Obdr - by definition is a self loathing American... after reading a large portion of his posts, his arguments are little more then strawman arguments which don't hold one ounce of sway by providing a sample of evidence to support his cause...
for instance, the "they just want to have the jobs American's don't want" thread... and not just there. The unfortunate truth must obdr, and poeple like him must not have had a built in skeptisicsm into thier cranium. And it wouldn't surprise me if he believes the US gov. was in on 9/11.
the arguments he's made just don't hold water to anybody looking for a defined answer. Hate for hate's sake.
just another
It is ok for me to protest, to speak out against anybody I want, be it Jew, or "neo-con" but no way in hell will I let them think, say, or do as I am able to do.

rehtoric that get's tiring. No different then the Global Warming believers who are out to silence the scientific community, and pollitical community, and professional community, and basic civilian community from speaking out against the so-called trends.

Hell, I started the class on Friday having never even been on a motorcycle.......but always been interested in them. There were 5 people in the class with riding experience and I was the only one who had never even been on a bike before. I ended up as the highest scoring student in both the riding test and the written test........pretty damn nice if you ask me.
One mistake Im not going to make though: Going out and getting a rocket ship right away. Im thinking a nice Suzuki GZ 250 which is a pretty nuetral bike would eb a great bike to start out with. Relaxed driving position. Comfortable. Not super slow. Cheap. etc.........

Nthfinity, I am so far from a self loathing American its not even funny. What I do loathe, however, is people like you. But of course your world view requires everyone to be just like you so when they express loathing towards you or your moronic views you just automatically turn it around into "it must be thier own self loathing". Gives a little glimpse into your own warped mind I think
