Default Airport near St.Moritz - Jets- Helicopters - Maybach62

Around New Year, I passed the local airport in Samedan (remember the Enzo shooting ) to see what's going on there... in winter it's a quite busy airport with all private jets landing there
and there's a new shuttle service from the airplane to the edge of the airfield, a Maybach 62 for a 200m ride

How to arrive in VIP-mode
while the jet is taxiing to the place, the Maybach62/MBvan is ready to welcome the passengers

various helicopters approaching

Luigi from the "Cars" movie is working here during winter

some more Maybach 62 photos

Wow that's one luxurious taxi Are you allowed to walk freely around that airport? Pretty cool pictures from the gates

*edit: the weird shape of the headrests of the Maybach suddenly occured to me, looks pretty comfy

Some nice Maybach shots here! I like them and what a nice day! But quite sad to see Engadin so snowless

cool pictures stmoritzer - i really like the YAK 52, a rare sighting. must be pretty freezy in there in winter...

this is the right way to travel: flying somewhere with your own plane and beeing picked up from a maybach....

or as I've seen recently.... enjoy the day skying and then beeing picked up by a Techart Magnum at the end of the slope ( in my case, the driver/butler would have to sit on the backseats )

the snow conditions are very good, also the base of the valley is white, but the amount of snowis quite low and it's not that cold :bah:
so far it's great to ski, but more snow is needed.
There is more snow on the field than you see on the pictures, they removed the snow to park the smaller airplanes

Are you planning to stay a WE in the Engadin? you could fly-in with the PC-12 from Paracentro
Let me know

no, but if've seen planespotters walking on the airfield with "visitor" vests. I'm also have the idea of a photoshooting later in winter with more cool jets, more snow and the Maybach... the airport manager agreed in general ... let's see ...

Nice pics StMoritzer!

Im a big Helicopter fan!

- The first (smaller) blue Helicopter is a McDonnell Douglas MD520 Notar
- The Yellow one is a AS 355V Eurocopter
- The bigger blue Helicopter is BELL 430 (looks a bit like Airwolf, that was a BELL 222)

Thought you liked to know!

That Maybach and Jet, now thats what I call VIP!
