Interesting to see the dynamic of the folks who "love" the way the Meg female character is abused in that cartoon series.
All you guys get a kick out of "the ugly bitch" getting beat up on... y'all know you have repressed issues - right?
Honestly - Family Guy is a great funny show - but the desensitizing of fans to the "ugly chick" getting the wanton abuse and treatment is not good.
Some of you may process these scenes correctly, but remember the same people who do all those stupid and disturbing things on YouTube also watch and get their weird behaviour validated.

How's it any different than laughing at Al Bundy's repeated failures? Or Homer Simpson's? Hell, look at Fry from Futurama.
i haven't watched Family Guy since i moved. I've missed everything from August til now. It's really not that funny to me anymore. It's the same jokes over extended. the first 3 seasons were great, but now i'm kind of wishing fox had left it alone

Al Bundy is an adult loser... Meg is constantly belittled and cruelly dismissed - in otherwords, abused

Al Bundy: You think I'm a loser? Because I have a stinking job that I hate, a family that doesn't respect me, and a whole city that curses the day I was born? Well, that may mean loser to you, but let me tell you something. Every day when I wake up in the morning, I know it's not going to get any better until I go back to sleep. So I get up. I have my watered-down Tang and my still-frozen Pop Tart. I get in my car with no gas, no upholstery, and six more payments. I fight honking traffic just for the privilege of putting cheap shoes onto the cloven hooves of people like you. I'll never play football like I wanted to. I'll never know the touch of a beautiful woman. And I'll never know the joy of driving through the city without a bag over my head. But I'm not a loser. Because, despite it all, me and every other guy who'll never be what they wanted to be, is out there, being what we don't want to be, forty hours a week, for life. And the fact that I didn't put a gun in my mouth years ago - that little fact makes me a winner, baby.

again. What's the difference between adult or kid? There isn't any except for the style of abuse Preach all you want. laughing at it leaves you at the same level we're at

It's not preaching.
It's just an opinion.
If you can't see that Al Bundy a male adult character screwing up all the time and the situaiotns and antics he finds himself in is not the same as a young women/teen character being verbally, physically and emotionally abused for humour is vastly different, then popular culture has already done alot more damage than people care to admit.

i think it's just more of an exaggerated commentary on how there's usually one kid that the parents wish had turned out differently or not had at all (favoritism to those who don't see where i'm going). Family Guy has always had some kind of underlying social commentary to it, this just happens to be an ongoing one.
but whatever. its a cartoon and not worth freeposting over

this was just about a cartoon that only people with more problems then watching tv will get motivated from. yet now is some indepth convo.
but truely if a show or game or music can influence you then you have more problems then just that one thing.
