Default Oct. 14 - Crystal Cove

First off, let me apologize about the pics. I forgot to charge the battery the night before and only had a little left. Im also still not sure if I like this camera. It seems to take blurry shots even when I try my hardest to take good shots. This event isnt the best to take pics either, people were always in the way.

Like I said in the Gen. Chat topic about Crystal Cove, this was the first time I had ever been and I was amazed. There were so many cars coming and going it was mind boggling. Tons of 360s, Gallardos, Vettes, 50 or so E46 M3s in various stages of tuning, tons of 911s, Vipers, etc, etc, etc. The cars were spread out over a parking lot that was easily larger than a football field. Cars everywhere coming and going. I missed a ton of cars including two Vector WX3s on our way out.

I went with my friend and his uncle who used to be a race engineer for Dan Gurney. We meet one of Gurney's kids that my friends uncle knew, plus some other guys he used to work with, so expect a photo tour of Gurney's shop and cars soon (if they let me take photos that is)

I would have stayed longer but I had to get home to go to the USC football (American) game which was cool. I got shit faced and saw two F117A fighter planes fly over the stadium, those are some bad ass planes! It was a long and tiring day but tons of fun!

Like I also said in the Gen Chat topic, the show will continue at a different location. Gurney's kid also said they were going to bring some of the collection by including a GP2 car. If anyone here wants to go, let me know and we can meet up Maybe I could find a better photographer LOL

Fisker Tramonto - crappy, blurry pics. Sorry

Wow, some really nice cars!

I like the 9ff, E63, Audi Quattro and the saleen!

But red rims on that 360 is just a turn off...

Amazing lineup as always, but too cramped as always too. Only way to get good shots is to wait at the entrance/exit IMO.. not enough space and too many ppl in the parking lot.

Also, no idea what this camera is or exactly how much light there was, but it seems to have some serious troubles judging light conditions.. many pics are over or underexposed, not only blurry.

Anyway, thanks a lot. I am curious to see the new place, hoping there would be a bigger surface and better pics opportunity

Tell me about it I dont know if its user error or what.

Ya, that wasnt the best place to take pics either. Cars were too cramped and too many people in the way. I hope the new venue is a little better.

Daaaang some serious cars there, a 9ff is really something to see in America! The bare aluminum Cobra is damn nice. 8)

What kind of camera is it, and maybe there is something wrong with the light meter on it?

Its an Olympus Stylus 600. Nothing too fancy but it should have met my humble requirements. Ive been messing with it for a little while now trying to see if some settings were messed up along the way.
