my net is getting cancelled
ok, so i just got a letter in the mail from Verizon saying that i have violated the terms of my contract by downloading in excess of 10GB over the last 30 days and that my account will be closed. im guessing this is the first time they have reviewd it becouse this has been a fairly slow month for me. this is really funny becouse i dont really download becouse of the speed is not that fast, i mean its quick but not road runner.oh well, i got it till the 18th, thanks to JW for helping me accomplish this, becouse i was paying alot.

3.7 If you subscribe to Broadband Service:
3.7.1 You may not resell the Broadband Service, use it for high volume purposes, or engage in similar activities that constitute resale (commercial or non-commercial), as determined solely by Verizon.
3.7.2 You may connect multiple computers/devices within a single home or office location to your Broadband modem and/or router to access the Service, but only through a single Broadband account and a single IP address obtained from Verizon.
3.7.3 Where available, Broadband customers may use their Broadband accounts to connect through an analog connection, but these connections will be subject to usage thresholds and additional per hour and monthly charges, depending on the Service to which you subscribed.
3.7.4 Additional User IDs provided for Broadband customers email boxes are not intended for use as dial-up connections. Any usage associated with additional email box User IDs will be charged the per hour rate associated with usage above the monthly allotment for analog Dial-up Service (where available). The number of mailboxes available to you depends upon the Service to which you have subscribed.
3.7.5 You may not use the Broadband Service to host any type of server personal or commercial in nature.
3.8 Verizon reserves the right to audit connections electronically to enforce these or any other provision of the Agreement.
3.9 Verizon also reserves the right in our sole discretion, with or without notice to you, to modify or restrict the bandwidth available to download content from our Usenet Newsgroup services.

^I can understand those rules but that's bullshit if they say its against there TOS if you "download"..
Usually they don't want you using up the upstream bandwidth.. damn verizon DSL sucks.
Although their fiber optic service, FIOS is a great deal with amazing speeds, and you can share it and use it as much as you want

This is dodgy, but seeing as you weren't remarkably fond of it, I can't see many downsides to the cancellation.
