Setermoen, military camp in the north...
This is some images from my military camp where I have to spend the whole of 2006..
I look so forward to be getting out.. :S Dimmedimmedimmelim...
Storala, the biggest mountain close by, 1236, from my room.. In the summer, and in winter...

On top of Storala:

More view from my room:

Guarding the barracks
How I hate this wagon, but cool name though:
I could destroy it with this Carl Gustav:

Heh, been there done that.
Was in the army for 10 months up in Boden, Sweden. Kinda fun with all the guns and friends but that's about it. I'm glad I've done it, but I dont think I'd do it again
Nice scenery though, very nice!

Yep, I completed my military service about a month and a half ago. 6 months and I didn't like it too much then but now I think it was ok. I worked with the artillery, not exactly shooting but carrying the ammos . Ok, I shot 3 times with a howitzer .

nice pics dude, the view from your room is very nice.
and why do you hate the cv9030? it's a nice vehicle in my opinion. i love it since we got it two years ago. before we had the old m-113.... there was no aircondition in summer and no heating in winter, now we've got that all and much more we didn't had in the old m-113. and we can keep up now with the LEO2 tanks..

Nice place and pics! Too bad it's a military camp, but well, will make for some good memories I am sure! It always is the case.

Syyyyl At least you are warm in that CV and won't have to walk everywhere. Have they parked teh Leos now? I remember we saw Leos at full speed on snowtracks up at Porsanger. Looked absolutely stupidly fast
Make sure to get as much classes as you can, try for C and CE driving licence!

Yes I was only 6 months in the army but there is also a possibility to complete the army service in 9 months. 6 & 9 months are for privates and as mojo said 12 for group and platoon leaders. 9 months is usually for military police, medics, dog training and weather guys.

Well, it's not very roomy for 8 full-kited soldiers, and it's a bit to warm on sunny days, but I know I could have had it worse...

Well, in Panserbataljonen, they've parked them, and the people who drove the Leo before, has begun driving MB's... They still use them at TMBN in the Leo2 version, though...
Sadly, I'm not getting any classes at all, the only ones who get those are the ones in the stab... And I'm only loading the Carl-Gustavs..

Nice pics, it sure looks better then the stuff back home. This looks like a summer camp. Military bases in Ukraine are huge, and there are tanks everywhere
enjoy your time there, Im thinking of maybe joining the canadian forces, go shoot some fucking terrorists in afganistan and shite
