Default iPod - converting DVD's and more?

Convert Video for iPod, I am sharing this info from [MAC FORMAT] magazine issue 164 jan 06

I am surprised no body did write about it, or maybe it is just a repost. Anyway, this is how you can do it..

MAC Users Only... There are two steps to convert from DVD to ipod

From DVD>Mac first, then Mac>ipod

DVD>Mac

1) Get HandBreak 0.7 from MACupdate.com
2)After installing, insert a DVD and open HandBreak
3) Chose Dedect volume > Open
4) Wait for few seconds

5) After opening DVD, go to Title as shown below and chose the LONGEST timing to assure you got the full DVD.

6) Regarding video quality, I recommend goint to 1000(kbps) or you might chose Target file size in (MB), but make sure that you select 2-passencoding for smoother results.

7) In Picture settings, I would go with 320x240 if i want to convert it later to iPod, but if you want to share it in JW or view it on your screen, then anything higher would be advisable.

8) Finally, make sure that the file format/Codecs are similar to the screen below, and save the new file to your folder.

9) Now make coffe
