On lap 28 of the Bathurst 1000, Holden driver Paul Dumbrell hit the wall, losing his front tyre, which landed on Lowndes's windscreen.

Funny enough they cut out the windsheild and the rear sheild in the pits and kept driving for another 100 laps or so and finished! Cant remeber the postion 16th perhaps, still great effort on their part. Very exciting race overall, so many cars totaled!

the last hour was excellent!

but i think the kangaroo escaping from being hit was much spectacular
