That's not THAT surprising. EVOs are fast, and even a lightly tuned EVO will give the Ferrari a run for the money. But I'd still rather loose in "my" Ferrari than win in "my" EVO...

Easy, Ferrrari is a Badge/Status symbol and they stuck to same formula since the 60's. EVO (and WRX) are built from rally heirtage, built with speed in mind with new technology and simple yet ingenious design. (yes borrowed heavily from Audi! lol)

Price doesn not equate to quality, that applied to EVERYTHING and not just cars.
Given enough time something new will come along to smash the current competors. EVO and WRX will fall to something new too in time.
