Default Colin Powell to pace Indy 500 in Vette

Colin Powell, owner of a 2005 Corvette coupe and former U.S. Secretary of State, will do the driving honors at this year’s Indianapolis 500. “It is a great American tradition and I am honored to be a part of it,” said Gen. Powell. The 2005 Corvette convertible that will pace the race is painted in “Victory Red” with a silver stripe down the center. The car has only minor upgrades to prepare it for the pace duty. No word if the over-the-top paint scheme will be available at your local Chevy dealership to commemorate Corvette’s seventh pace duty.
