On the subject can someone translate the specs for this car:

BIL:
BMW 318iS 16v -90 (2.5 Turbo).

MOTOR:
M20B25.

TOPP:
M20B20 med M20B25 kam, insug och spjällhus. Matchportad mot 325 isuget.

BLOCK:
Nybyggt 2005.
M20B25, Honat, Planat och O-ringat, Nya ram och vevlager. M42B18 kolvar och ringar, Kompression 7,0:1.

BRÄNSLESYSTEM/TÄNDNING:
Haltech E6M motorstyrning med M&W tändslutsteg och 3st Sagem dubbel-spolar.
[email protected] bar spridare (grundtryck 4.5 bar), Malpassi 1:1.4 btr.

ÖVERLADDNING:
Grenrör byggt av "Grottköping Racing", Turbo Garett GT37, PPF 50mm wastegate,
PPF intercooler, 60mm dumpventil.

AVGASSYSTEM:
3,5" downpipe, 3" avgassystem.

EFFEKT:
Ej bromsad, men ca: 500+ hk vid 1,7 bar (98 oktan).

TRANSMISSION:
e36 M3/328 ZF växellåda, e36 328 kardan, e28 M535 lamelldiff med 3,07 utväxling,
Sachs 4-puckad sinter och (...618) tryckplatta, Bakvagn ombyggd för rakare camber vinklar.

CHASSI/FJÄDRING:
Gasdämpare och sänkningssats -30mm, bakvagnsbussningar och motorkuddar i delrin.

BROMSAR:
Fram: 4-kolvs Brembo med 330x32mm skivor, Adaptersats tillverkad av "Grottköping Racing", 750i Huvudbromscylinder.
Bak: Original.

FÄLGAR/DÄCK:
Advanti Racing "Furious" 7.5x18" lackade med vit pulverlack, 225/40-18" runt om.

KAROSS:
Alpina front och bak spoiler, vita blinkers fram, svarta baklampor och sidoblinkers,
ögonlock, cupspeglar.

LACK:
BMW Diamantschwarz-metallic.

INREDNING:
Momo stolar. Skyddsbåge byggd efter dragracingreglementet.
I stora drag original förutom diverse mätare.

PÅ VÅGEN:
1200kg.

PÅ STRIPPEN:
1/8 (201m) 7,86 @ 159,72 km/h. (opreppad bana)
1/4 (402m) 11,66 @ 202,24 km/h. (opreppad bana)

I dont understand those guys, why spend tons of money to make something that can kill you in a first corner if you can buy a proper sports car and have true fun *cough* E30 M3 *cough*

Crazy beemer. How difficult is it to turbo the 6?

Car:
BMW 318iS 16v -90 (2.5 Turbo).

MOTOR:
M20B25

Cylinder head
M20B20 with M20B25 cam, intake manifold and throttle bodies.

BLOCK:
Rebuild in 2005.
M20B25, Honed, planed and fitted with O-rings around the cylinders. New bearings. M42B18 pistons and rings, compression ratio 7,0:1.

Fuel system/Ignition:
Haltech E6M engine management with M&W ignition system and 3 Sagem double coils.
[email protected] bar injectors (basic pressure 4.5 bar), Malpassi 1:1.4 btr.

induction:
Piping made by "Grottköping Racing", Turbo Garett GT37, PPF 50mm wastegate,
PPF intercooler, 60mm dumpventil

Exhaust system:
3,5" downpipe, 3" for the rest

Power:
Not measured, but about 500+ hk with 1,7 bar (98 oktan).

TRANSMISSION:
e36 M3/328 ZF gearbox, e36 328 kardan, e28 M535 diff with 3,07 final ratio, Sachs sinter metal racing clutch and (...618) pressure plate, Backend rebuild for extra camber..

CHASSIS/suspension:
Gas shocks and lower springs - 30mm, rear suspension bushes and engine mounts in delrin.

Brakes:
Front: 4-pot Brembo med 330x32mm discs, Adapter mountings made by "Grottköping Racing", 750i master cylinder
Rear: Original.

Wheels/tires:
Advanti Racing "Furious" 7.5x18" painted with powder paint 225/40-18"

Body:
Alpina front and rear spoiler, white indicators front, black taillights and indicators ögonlock, cup mirrors

Color
BMW Diamantschwarz-metallic.

Interior:
Momo seat. Rollcage built after dragracing rules. Most of it is stock,e except some gauges

Simple really! Not quite sure why it uses the 2litre head. Maybe a comp ratio thing? Never heard of using the 318is pistons before, but seems like a cheaper alternative than custom ones. Although getting an engine an a halfs worth of pistons may prove tricky! Presumably its got standard crank and rods. Then you just need something to pour some more fuel in from time to time!

This is an extreme example though, pretty sure i've seen examples with standard internals running around 300bhp. Not sure for how long though!

I'm turboing my 535i right now, should finish this weekend. Ill have updates on my car with pics as soon as its done.
