Shit!! Cheers for that.
I used/ still use them for when ever I leave my bike about (a rare ocassion). I will watch the vid in a min....
edit: the vids clearly show that they are easily opened. To think I trusted them to lock thousands of pounds worth of bike up

Thats the fuckin lock that i locked my last bike up with, before sum bastards nicked it! There was no evidence of it being broken so i feared that something like this was apparent!!!!! Fuckers.
Im never using a 'bike lock' for my bike ever again, only huge chains and closed shackle padlocks. Get thru these you bastards!!!!!

Actually, after viewing the video, mine was not that type of lock barrel, mine has a cylindrical key, but im pretty sure that it wasnt too tricky to pick either! I hope that it takes more than 10 mins jon, but i fear it wont!

That'll teach companies to outsource core product supply and yet other companies to outsource their entire manufacture...
A spokeswoman for Kryptonite's parent company, Ingersoll-Rand, said Kryptonite products account for less than 1 percent of Ingersoll-Rand's $10 billion in annual sales.
|
In other words - fuck the people who bought the shit, we make small money from them and can afford to cast them loose..
Dan Dacko, general manager of Planet Bike in Madison Wisconsin, said his firm, a smaller player in the U-lock market, was developing a plan to replace defective locks. But he did not know whether it would charge for such a recall.
"For a company of our size, it could be devastating," he told Reuters, adding that he had just received a shipment of thousands of the vulnerable locks.
He said the problem would likely affect European cyclists and firms as well as Asian manufacturers
|
And the small fish in the big pond finds out that the cheap crap locks they outsourced are just that - cheap crap..

Shit! Im gonna make sure I tell all the cyclists I know about this.
I reckon there should be special penalties for people who steal bikes and cars..... like having their nuts cut off or something.

Craaaaap. This find's even scarier than the times when you could wreck the Club car locks using an accordion car jack!
To think that some ambitious pre-teen could potentially rob you of an expensive bike that easily....
