Hopefully not until they improve their quality and dealer network.

If TVR quality is acceptable in the UK then it would be a luxury for the americans that are used to cheap looking cars , just the dealer network must be issued

I TVR won't bother with meeting US reg requirements because it's too costly and stupid(US reg is). I believe Peter Wheeler said that himself on the 65th issue of EVO magazine. US reg is quite expensive really, a company has to crash like 9 cars on purpose and the engines must meet emission requirements...
So I guess you can get it from an importer, but we won't see an official TVR dealer.
I say TVR will not pass the safety regulations because it's made of GRP and from what i hear, TVR has horrible unreliability.
But I also say, TVR belongs in UK. Most people who will probably buy TVR will probably have done that because they saw one in Swordfish...and not make it live up to its full potential...and let it rot...damn new money...

I dunno those Russians are probably looking for a way to stick it to America, i'd say making a cheeper, faster car then the corvette would do it.

Well...most current (if not all) TVRs are already faster than the standard Corvette.

as someone already said the crash tests and emissions have been a problem for TVR's coming to the U.S. - I would love to see more..and as far as the quality is concerned..I dont think thats really much of an issue at all, the quality of nearly all American cars is pretty bad..compared to what it used to be, they are all made from plastic now..so TVR shouldnt have to worry about that..

No current production American car suffers such blatant, regular and devastating engine failures.
TVR's are notorious for these failures.
Please do a little research...

I think, RC45, he means the quality of the material used in the car...like TVR's famous leather interior...
The thing is, US regulation also dictates that officially imported cars will have to pass reliability test. 6 month long run without engine failure or something like that
