Dude, you'd rather have car modeling right? 3D modeling is an art form extremely tough to master. Why do you think there is until now only 1 Final Fantasy? Why do you think Pixar, WB, Walt Disney don't do realistic human models and textures. Dam, even in the Matrix (3) it's quite noticeable when it's rendered. This type of contest is geared more to show-off how much quality you can pull-off in a certain amount of time. Would yall rather spend a month modeling Polar bear or a foxy lady? Thought so.

Hmm thats just crazy but 3dmodeling is pritty dam hard.

Also X-ale some how I dont think Pixar dosnt really go for the realistic look.
They kinda go for the more cartoon kinda look, as they make kids movies but I think they do a dam good job.

Some how I dont think im to interested in this kinda 3d modeling though, id rather see them model a nice car or something etc.

I just think they could put there talent to a better use he he

As stated above - it's not about trying to create a virtual-porn device.. - it is about showboating human 3d modelling.

Well - then I take it you dn't play modern console or PC games.

Exactly how do you think they do all the 3D modelling that produces the 3D worlds you play in?

They use the same tools as these folks..

The point is that 3D artists that create the models for the games use the same tools and have still images of their creations.

So it is the same concept.

These guys just took it one step further, and are grading the creations of their contributors - using real-world style criteria to see who has the most realistic 3D modelling skills.

The obscure by product is that Grand Theft Auto 2006 may be so realistic is will look like a live porn DVD.. - That should keep you attention...

How much do you think i make per hour modeling in one of my 2 modests apartments with 1 of my 5 pcs? I have a g4 also but thats for audio only. And how much do you think I charge for the other hours the puters spend rendering alone? I'm 28, I have a orange copper Fiat Palio 1.6 in Brazil, a black/grey Toyota 4Runner (Hilux) in Quebec and i don't see a flake of snow cuz i move evry 6 months from summer to summer. I only test designs in 3d (cad) for architects and engineers. By being my own employee, I now just make about half of a senior modeler... so about the same as a junior and a third of a senior animator. I don't just hang out with my friends, I promote whole parties and book DJs, mix and remix beyond your imagination. There I met my gf, a real woman, not a girl. Gimme a number now, i'll give you a hint: it's in the 3 figures.
