Fuck yeah.....it has the Gulf GT40 as well as the PRODUCTION FORD GT!!!! It's not the concept version!!! Looks like most of the cars in PGR 1 and 2 are in there as well...everything from the Cadillac Cien to the VW Nardo to the GT to the Saleen S7...doesn't look like there will be much to complain about....and I'm SOOO happy to see that they've brought back the oldies...that was one of my favorite parts of GT2 that was missing for the most part in GT3.

I wonder if Porsche is kicking themselves about now for signing that exclusive with EA all those years ago...
And Ferrari and Lambo are conspicuous by their absence..... a pity really --- I bet they had outrageous license demands... and Polyphony said.. "whatever" and moved one...

It's a damned shame that Porsche is screwed into being with EA for the next few years at least...they aren't going to get nearly as much playtime nor publicity for their cars as they would if their vehicles were in the GT series...it is a shame that Lamborghini and Ferrari are also absent...here's something to ponder...since there isn't any Porsche, Polyphony went for the next best thing, RUF...how about if we had Hamann, Novitec or some other high-class Ferrari tuner and perhaps Affolter or some such thing for the Lambos...better than nothing for sure.

I also like the Mercedes 190 E 2.5 evo, Sauber Mercedes C9
McLaren GTR, CLK GTR Arghhhhhhhhh, TT i don't thank you : now i can't wait

RUF (like Brabus) is registered as an independant auto maker, I am not sure about the others you mentioned.
AS for Porsche, well I thought the Need for Speed porsche game was awesome. Good quality too (not like that mercedes crap game). What greater compliment is there, than to have an entire game dedicated to one automaker?
btw I think the GT series has always been diverse enough
AND THANKS for the link

You are correct, although I am quite sure that Hamann, Koenig, Affolter and the like are also registered as independent car makers.
The Porsche game was certainly a decent homage to the manufacturer...but the graphics were only marginal, the physics were terrible and none of the tracks were in the least bit believable.
The GT series has always been diverse enough, that's for sure, but....I would still like to see Lamborghini and Ferrari take a roll as well.

Don't knock the Taurus SHO either...it's got a 3.4L V8...the only real issue was that it was only offered with a 4speed auto and it was a fair bit too heavy.

The licensing fees are probably too high and they may well have contracts which provide "exclusive" rights to one game manufacturer and no others...I have to admit that the GT series would be the ideal playground for such vehicles...Ferrari wouldn't let their cars be run in races against the cops in NFS High Stakes because they didn't feel that it was an appropriate portrayal of their products...GT has no police...and no visible damage...sounds perfect to me
