Default To UK people

Hi, I received some kind of proposal to continue my studies in UK.

To be more precise in the University of glamorgan, Cardiff.

I need some info about it to decide if i go there or not, or if someones here studies there.

Anything is helpful.

Thanks

Jabba, then I'll sleep at your new home lol =x kidding

this is very true, so unless you have a 'fetish' for wooly four legged mammals I suggest you don't go

LOL, yeah the sheep are apparently sheep shaggers, although ive never found evidence and i live wiv 2 welsh blokes!
A friend of mine is at cardif uni studying law, because of the 2 uni's in cardif there are actually lots of english people in the city as well as welsh. He says he's having a fuckin great time, and he appeared to be able to get through his first year wiv quite little work, but he's having to work 4 his second year exams now!!
What is it your studying?

I think ive got another mate at glamorgan aswell, thats not the main cardif uni is it? He says he gets a lot of women who are pretty hot there. And he difinately doesnt do a lot of work!!

Are you gettin the studying abroad on sponsership? Cus its quite some money to come accross and study i think (tuition fees are a lot more) and IMO glamorgan is an average uni, no offence meant, and im sure u'll have an awsome time, but i spose it depends on what u want to get out of your degree, and how much of it you want to donate to social.

The proposal was made after some kind of agreement of the University and one "company" here in Portugal. If the RI of the family isn't bigger than 31800€ you don't have to pay anything to school.

Next day 19, there will be some session to take all doubts about it.

I know that is going to be expensive, for now i'm just seeking for more info about it to decide to go or not.

right im english and i moved to cardiff to come to uni and im still here now. (moved here in 1997)

theres a hefty student population in cardiff (2 universitys in the city itself and then another one very close by) more attractive women than any other city ive ever been to. as for the rest of the students well theres a good mix, loads of ppl form all over ireland an the uk, plus lots from europe and japan and china.

university of glamorgan - first of all u need to know its not actually in cardiff, but 5 miles up the road in pontypridd. Assuming u drive (well ur on JW so id say its a safe bet) id personally recommend living in cardiff itself, it has a huge nightlife and is a very cosmopolitan city.

one other (useless) fact, at one point the cardiff students union had the biggest regular weekly beer delivery in the uk 8)

i believe, but the car that I use to drive was a Suzuki Samurai soft top, anyone can enter in the jeep =\

the soft top, is just go to the car and open, doesn't have much security =\

they won't take the jeep, but i'm going to change some things that they won't put it working =P

Just a question, is there any problem because of plates or something? It has portuguese plates.

You should probably buy a cheap shitter over here, if you were planning on driving. Not bring your car over. Im not sure what the arrangments are for owning and driving a car over here if you are foreign.
Or you could get a good bike, and cycle every day? Im guessing by the course and the uni, i aint gunna have many lectures to attend

You only really have to worry about the plates if you plan on living there on a perminant basis. As for taking it, I regret taking my car to Uni, it got driven into while parked by a drunk imigrant who had no licence. Cost me a fortune to fix. It also got broken into twice, once through the lock, so I had to fix the door that I had only just fixed from my drunken friend. HOWEVER, that was up north and in one of the worst streets possible.

I have to admit, I have not heard much of Glamorgan So can't really comment on how good it is. I know several people who have had a good time in a welsh Uni though. Also, if you are planning on going back home after, I doubt your perspective employers will know how good or bad the Uni is.
