I saw that, but I really hope BMW isnt going to try to indulge all late in the "super" SUV market with a well sub 500hp engine.....Com'on BMW what the hell happend to you'all trying to be ahead of the class. That thing is going to come out and get hampered by the Cayenne Turbo....and maybe even the ML63.
I think there would be a lot of people willing to spend say 90K on a 600hp SUV that could hold their entire family and still be able to be an awsome track toy.......The Cayenne Turbo S is a close as we are to that........I think BMW should go for the ultimate SUV title. Bu then again.......this would destroy the sales of the M5 and M6......BMW cant do what Porsche does and get away with it - Nobody can! 70K for a Cayman S...kiss my @SS!
Whoops I am sorry........We will never get a 600hp BMW for 90K.....only GM and Ford will grace us with a deal like that.............heck

SUVs are not supposed to be performance vehicles. Amazingly, the Cayenne is actually pretty successful, but the general principle should remain.

Why put a V12 when you already have developed a Performance V10 engine that can make 500HP

Because an SUV needs TORQUE... Which the 500hp V10 lacks.

^^^ LMAO....that is still awkward to read.
"Yeah that 500hp V10 sure does lack torque" - Damn BMW, neverthought I would have to accept a phrase like that.

That was my first thought too and it's propably the reason. However 520Nm isn't exactly lacking torque.
