Too bad. He was only president for a year, since his brother Gianni died.

The president of Ferrari, Luca di Montzemolo (spelling?), has been confirmed as the new president of FIAT.

^^^ Indeed, and Jean Todt will take di Montezemolo's position at Ferrari, whilst Ross Brawn will fill Todt's former job.

Montezemolo has been groomed for this position for some time. He was favored by Gianni for many years.

I think this will only bring positive things to Ferrari and FIAT.

I certainly hope so. FIAT needs a lot of work. If di Montezemolo can do to FIAT, Alfa Romeo and Lancia what he did to Ferrari and Maserati, I'd be so grateful!
