Which studio designed it? Looks a bit italdesign.
Being a jag fan, I honestly have to say, it looks awkward. It's like the designer made a generic drawing by taking design cue from different manufacturers and try selling it to all of them. Front grill is jag s-type, exhaust is Zonda, tail light is a bit G35/"new" skyline, ferrari head lights, rear half looks like that new honda concept, the list goes on...

What a waste of space
If I remember correctly this was a designstudy from a company outside Jaguar who was allowed by Jaguar to use Jaguar badges.
I'm afraid that Jaguar has gone mainstream and is no longer allowed by, the cashstrapped Ford Motor Corporation, to develop and produce anything as exciting as e.g. their XJ 13

it looks like its got an overbite! btw do the side vents open and close? IMO jag needs to stop dreaming and start building... i know that it takes a while to produce a car...but come on....is the s-type the most radical car that they can do? arent they always whining about trying to break out of their history?
Vents open

Indeed, exactly my oppinion. Too many sensible cars or cars that are styling in an old fashioned way. Lovely concepts but no new models. Except the new XJ, wich isn't new (from the design point of view)... and the X-Type, wich is just like an XJ, but smaller ... so quite a big dissapointement! I hoped they go on the same path that Aston Martin (also owned by ford) had gone, they have some nice looking new cars coming out!

More info on the car from Barcelona Motor Show 2003: http://www.cardesignnews.com/news/20...uore-xf10.html
"This is the studio's sixth full scale project, some of them have been rolling, all of them of excellent quality. The five previous are the three Pajeros already mentioned, the CZ2 cabriolet (also Geneva 2003) and the Subaru B11 S. Those who looked would have seen the discreet Modarte sign, and those who asked would have found that this is a fairly new (2 years old) company, headed by Stefano Ardagna, formerly of Stola."

The side looks to me like it has some of the same cuts and lines as the Saleen S7.

I don't like it either and I agree with AlienDB7 it looks like a lot of cars. For that reason you have to give it some credit though. I have never seen a car before that has lines of so many other cars. A short list of some of the types of cars I spotted (other than the ones spotted by Alien DB7, the Subaru B11S and the Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution, which apparently were designed by the same studio).
Lotus M250 prototype
Mitsubishi Eclipse
Lamborghini Gallardo
Opel Speedster (aka Vauxhall VX220)
Pagani Zonda
Hyundai Coupé
MG SV

I love the Saleen S7's lines. I think it is the prefect supercar look. If only I could see a road-test of it I could see if has the speed to back up those looks. As for this Jag, its hideous. It kinda looks like an Opel Speedster IMO, but with the wheelbase screwed up. lol

this concept is not an official Jag concept. it was privately designed by a spanish design studio. Jaguar just agreed to have the badge on it.
