Driving this car must be awesome! It's impressive how fast it reach 100...BTW, anyone knows which brakes does it have? Something special or it is not necessary due to its low weight?

It has a 2.2L Honda 4 banger. Pretty sure that was the NA version that produces 200hp. They have a supercharger version that gives it 300hp and the power-to-weight is better than the Enzo...yea its fast

the brakes are probably nothing speciall other than the fact that they are most likely geared towards light weight with good pads for fade resist.

yeah the atom is lighter, faster, better weight\power ratio and brakes in less distance, on top of that the Enzo is faster then it on track !!! its such a shame that a car that costs less then 82K is faster in a straight line then an Enzo which costs 550K !!!

The new ones idd have a Honda engine, but not a 200 bhp 2.2L, it is a 160bhp or 220 bhp NA 2.0L (with a 275 or 300 bhp supercharged engine as an option)


I don't know enough of the car to see if it is an old Atom, with the Rover engines, or a new one with the Honda engines (NA or supercharded) in this vid.

The Atom 2 comes with the following engine options:
A standard 160hp engine option
A Type R civic engined option - 200hp
A Type R civic engined option with chipped computer - 240hp
A Type R civic engine with supercharger - 300hp

I've driven the 240hp version and its something else
very fast, but not as quick as my GSXR
Top Gear drove the 300hp version and Im sure it would have beat the Enzo if the Stig hadn't stuffed up the Hammerhead part of the test track.
