Default Audi R8 testdrive/photoshoot

Hey, I'm back after a long while.

Been swamped with work since february, but things are about to cool down ... I hope

Drove the R8 on the road and on an airfield around a few cones.

I can report, that the car as a whole is brilliant. It's so comfortable it's almost funny. It's roomy and easy to drive. It even has lugage space

Drove both the manual and the R tronic. I recomend the manual, because it makes nice clik-clik noises and is a joy to work with.

The noise the V8 produces is really cool.

The 4wd works weel with this car. The understeer is minimal, the grip is huge. We dod the slalom in the dry and the rain and the car really handles well ..... but ... I'd still rather have a little used ferrari for 120k Euros

all in all, the car is made well, the materials used are top stuff, but what else could you expect from audi ...

It will be a best seller, rightfully so, but imo it's not half as exciting as a ferrari or even porsche...

hope you enjoy the pics

some aren't edited, some not soo sharp ... but all in all I think it's a good set 8)

Stunning pictures, as usual!!!!

I understand what you say about the used Ferrari but I guess this one would be more reliable

Not really, when you compare it to other sportscars. Still fun to drive, though ...

And is more expensive than 911 Carrera 4S (which is almost equaly fast, but more fun to drive). I konow which one I would choose ...

@ jakaracman

about the understeer

well, I think that the front end grip was very good and the nose didn's feel like it wan'ted to run away ...

But on the other hand, that is high speed corners ... at low speed and too much working with the steering wheel and the gas pedal, the nose did slip, but still, not bad at all ...

I bey you enjoyed the sideways action

Nice to hear you've driven the R8, we can expect a review soon I presume?

These pics are so similar to ones being used in magazines!

awesome shots Ciril

I bet you enjoyed every second in this car

but one thing - what is the difference between the Aluminium and C/F body panel behind the doors? is it an option, or is one of them more powerfull?
