let me see if i can find something...
well generally if you are in germany on the autobahn look for this sign: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Zeichen_282.svg
Singen --> Stuttgart is free. that will be interesting for the people who will meet down there at the autohaus.

that's true, there are always short bits and pieces that are 'free' but imo enough to have a lot of fun
For example the autobahn from Mulhouse (french border) up to Karlsruhe almost is limited to 130. Quite annoying, coz you enter Germany thinking that you will drive at top-speed from the first km... and you have to wait 150km to do so :bah:
|
i am guessing that you mean this sign : http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richtgeschwindigkeit
but be aware that it can also say different speeds (in your case 130). this sign say that you 'should' be driving around this speed.
of course if the traffic is thinn you can go much faster. you will find these signs on unrestricted stretches of the autobahn.
btw my uncle lives near stuttgart and he says that every now and then he sees some weirdly camouflaged cars
Anyway, for sure there lots of de-restricted autobahns in Germany, and with almost 500km in front of us to get to Nürburg, I'm sure we'll have some time to do some top-speed runs with our cars 220kmh in my brother's Cupra should be easy

okay here is the best i could really find: http://www.radarforum.de/forum/index...howtopic=18025
check your routes and then compare with the list i just linked. enjoy!

of course you will have to pay attention to the raod signs, as there could of course be construction sites ect along the way.

My SLK was rock solid at 250kph on the autobahn. Even +200kph in the rain was no problem

Are you sure that when sign says 130, you should drive around 130? I am asking this because when I was in Germany one man said that 130 is then the minimum limit and you can drive 50km/h over it. I trusted him and passed a police car with speedometer showing 180km/h and got no ticket.
