Default Snail Mail Distribution....

Hey

I have an idea, how about swapping vids by burning them to disc and using good old snail mail to distribute them around the world?

I have PO Box ,stamps and envelopes, and discs are cheap in OZ.

we could probably burn more vids to disc and distribute quicker via snail mail.

We post up our list of vids and then see who wants what and you can make an exchage. I think there are a few posts here in this forum somewhere of people's vast collections.

I bet you, you could distribute more files and quicker this way than most people can via their internent connections.

Not all of us are fortunate enough to have broadband....or you could have my version of unlimited broadband here which is capped at 12g per month then my isp slows my connection down to 28.8

so much for unlimited!

I understand this is a trust factor but hey it could work!

any suggestions?

Sounds like yet another attempt to beat our system....that is if you are talking about JW videos or videos downloaded from the restricted areas of JW.

Hmm... not a very good idea IMO

Sending stuff by air mail is so much slower than downloading from Jabba @ anything up to 400k (i only get 90k due to my 750k connection )

And definitely not to swap DL/L Videos with members who have not earend this privilege

Not to mention the legal implications of having self-addressed envelopes filled with copyright-encroaching materials arrive in your letter box right under postal inspectors noses......

NTL Home 750K.. they recently upgraded from 600-750k for free, but it costs £25 a month.

I want to move to Bulldog or Metronet 2MB service at about £35-40/month... unlimited Bandwidth 8)

I have a better idea.

Every member here emails me their credit card info - and then I will use the money to go buy DVD's - only ONE per credit card mind you.. (I pwomise.. weally I doo.. )- burn a copy for myself then forward the originals to the first name on the list - then when that bloke/sheila gets the box, they make copies for themselves, then forward the box on to the next name on the list... and so on and so on...

I call it my "Peer-to-peer Onetime Offsite Functional Temporary Association" or the POOFTAs club..

Hey.. huh.. huh... waddya think huh? huh? Nudge-nudge wink-wink.. saynomoore saynomoore... - a hugs as good as tickle.. huh? huh?
